New Feature: Data Streams in Keboola
Let’s keep it real (time)

We're excited to roll out our new feature: Data Streams. This feature unlocks new opportunities with the integration of Webhooks and Data Streams, transforming the way you tap into real-time data.

Introducing Data Streams

Until now, exporting data from sources in Keboola was either a manual process or orchestrated on a set schedule within the platform. But event-driven triggers? Not really possible. With Data Streams, that's history.

Data Streams allows Keboola to:

  • Accept Webhooks as a data source or a trigger for orchestrations and flows.
  • Connect Webhook directly to Keboola Storage.
  • Make real-time data integration as smooth as your morning latte.

The benefits of Data Streams

Here's what makes Data Streams a game-changer:

  1. Real-time updates: Your data gets updated whenever a new update happens at the source.
  2. Simplified integrations: Bring in SaaS event data, custom backend trigger payloads, and messages from external systems with the simple Webhook integration. Leave behind the headaches of custom scripting and additional tools.
  3. Increased efficiency: Say goodbye to manual entry updates. Get your systems talking to each other with Data Streams. It's all about saving time and reducing those pesky human errors.
  4. Complex architectures: With event-driven data, you can set up complex architectures within Keboola. Build logical responses and follow-ups to events, all from a single platform.
  5. Eco-efficiency: This solution keeps your data warehouse active only when required. It's more than just a cost-saver—it's a green choice. By reducing unnecessary operation times, we cut down on energy use, helping your business reduce its carbon footprint and contribute to a healthier planet.

How does it work?

When a predefined event happens at the data source, it triggers a Webhook. This Webhook then sends a message, or payload, to the Keboola Buffer API Receiver. The Receiver maps the payload to one or more Keboola Storage schema(s), supporting up to 20 exports per event.

Bringing Webhook + Data Streams to life

This cool event-driven data integration packs a punch across various business lines:

  • E-commerce: Get real-time updates on sales, customer data, and shipping information from your e-commerce platform. Integrate the events downstream to other (customer support, sales, marketing, finance, logistics) apps to automate your e-store operations from start to finish.
  • Marketing: Automatically trigger campaigns in your marketing automation tool based on events or data changes in your CRM. Follow-ups to unopened emails and targeted customer communications have never been easier.
  • IT Operations: Monitor and respond to system events and alerts from your monitoring tool, or automatically update your incident management system when an issue is resolved. Join observability across all your IT tools and processes to build a single platform for monitoring and alerting.
  • HR: Keep employee records and payroll systems up-to-date when changes occur in your HRIS. Say goodbye to manual errors.
  • DataOps: Use real-time data updates for training machine learning algorithms, keep the KPI dashboard fresh, and notice changes in fast-changing time series datasets before your competition.

Move faster with Webhooks + Data Streams

Keboola's Webhook integration and Data Streams can seriously amp up your business operations. Build automated complex architectures while streaming data in real-time seamlessly and without the overhead.

Don’t just take our word for it. Sign up for Keboola and see how it works for yourself!
